Gut is an area with living tissue and can grow on its own way. But the term healthy gut comprises a lot includes integrity, immunity & microbiota in the gut. If gut development is compromised, all these are affected & in turn, can affect overall gut performance. Therefore,  the gut  needs your care to develop as healthy for efficient feed conversion & to protect the economic losses. There are so many things you need to bring in mind that alter the ways of healthy gut development in poultry. Dysbacteriosis, inflammation & immunosuppression are the major classes you may consider in summary.

Poultry gut is the niche of complex & dynamic ecosystems of microbial communities. Members of each microbiome can be categorized as symbionts, commensals & pathobionts. The most important factors to prevent dysbacteriosis are minimizing stress, maintaining good water quality, improving feed digestibility and avoiding antinutritional factors, mycotoxins & rancidity. Immunosuppression is another important fact associated with gut performance that can directly be compromised by immunosuppressive virus, nutrition & mycotoxins.

Gut inflammation is a condition that causes a roughness in tract, impairing its ability to absorb nutrients and achieve its growth and genetic potential. Infection, trauma, toxin & biogenic amines of feed can cause intestinal inflammation.

To win against these barriers of gut development you should set a holistic approach to your production systems. The use of quality raw, best suited additives & balanced nutrient contents of feed along with good management practices are fundamental hands to achieve good performance from the gut.
